The “Night of Museums” in Nafplio
The Municipality of Nafplio, in the context of the celebration of the Night of Museums, is actively participating with cultural events that will take place on Saturday, May 17.

The Municipal Philharmonic with the percussion ensemble will accompany the evening. The musicians will take the audience on a journey through melodies and rhythms, highlighting the talent of young musicians and the importance of cultural education.

The events will take place in the areas of the Municipality's museums, which will remain open to the public with free admission throughout the evening.

The War Museum, the Ethnological Museum of Nafplio and the Childhood Museum of the Vasilis Papantoniou Foundation, the Folklore Museum of the Church of Evangelistria, the Ecclesiastical Museum of the Church of Evangelistria, the Komboloi Museum, the Karoni Distillery Museum, and the FOUGARO ARTCENTER participate in the celebration, offering visitors a unique experience of contemporary art.

The Municipality of Nafplio invites all residents and visitors to participate in this unique evening dedicated to art, history and music, sending a message of extroversion and cultural creation.

The detailed program* is as follows:

Percussion ensemble of the Municipal Philharmonic of Nafplio. Time 20:00 – 21:00. The percussion ensemble of the Municipal Philharmonic of Nafplio floods the streets of Nafplio with a moving musical action. The musicians board the train and, to Latin and Greek rhythms, pass through the central streets and squares of our city, sending a message - a reminder of the particularly important night of Greek culture! Teaching - ensemble direction: Theodosis Antoniadis The percussion ensemble completes its course by stopping in the area next to the War Museum, opening a circle for those who wish to participate and collaborate with the pulse of the ensemble. Komboloi Museum Opening hours: 09:30 to 24:00. Activities: Exhibition space on the upper floor of the building – From 21:00 to 24:00 Guided tours and short/short educational seminars on the History of the Komboloi and the materials from which a komboloi is made. On the ground floor where the Museum Shop and workshop are located, the visitor can watch the construction of a komboloi. Free admission 

The Ethnological Museum of Nafplio and the Children's Museum of the Vasilis Papantoniou Foundation will remain open from 18.00-24.00 with free admission.

The War Museum Branch of Nafplio will remain open from 20:00 to 23:00. The multi-event space hosts the exhibition of folk paintings by the folk painter Nontas Rentzis entitled: The Greeks' struggles for freedom.

Folklore Museum of the Church of Evangelistria, Nafplio, 20:00 – 23:00 Exhibits from agricultural and domestic life offer a unique experience of looking back into the past.
Karoni Distillery Museum (9 Euclid Street & Lindou Street – Nafplio) Opening hours: 10:00 to 24:00. Activities: 20:00 -23:00. Guided tour of the historical archive of the Karoni Distillery, which includes old machinery, documents, photographs and objects from the history of the company. FOUGARO ARTCENTER The trees of Fougaros, the trees of life, 16:00 – 20:00 Open workshop for teenagers and adults with the artist Emilia Tsekoura, dedicated to the environment!
