8th Nafplio International Film Festival “BRIDGES” at Fougaro ARTcenter
It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the eighth edition of the Nafplio International Film Festival BRIDGES, which this year promises a unique two-day film festival in the enchanting city of Nafplio.
The works of 60 directors from Greece and abroad make up a diverse screening program, ready to move young and old, to inspire and open new horizons in contemporary filmmaking.
BRIDGES remains true to its mission: to offer a dynamic platform to young and established creators, giving their stories the opportunity to shine, to meet with the audience and to provoke a meaningful dialogue.
The Festival will be hosted at the iconic Fougaro Art Center, from Saturday, December 6 to Sunday, December 7.
FOUGARO, just 2 km from the center of historic Nafplio, is a reason to visit in itself:
a cultural destination with uniquely aesthetic indoor and outdoor spaces, ideal for screenings, meetings with creators, educational activities and artistic experiences.
The “Kapodistrias Film Awards” Award Ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 7, at 5:00 p.m., at the Fougaro Art Center, where the creations that stood out in the categories of fantasy, philosophical, historical and recent Greek cinema will be honored.
The Nafplio sound engineer Stelios Giannakopoulos will be honored and the youth section of the Nafplio Choral Workshop will participate, performing songs by Greek and foreign composers, and the Children's Choir of the Municipality of Nafplio will perform pieces from Greek Cinema. Under the direction of Yannis Nikolopoulos.
We invite the public to travel to Nafplio and experience this celebration of the Seventh Art up close.
Admission to the screenings is free.
